I have to be really honest and say I really struggle with January and the short days. (I'm sure it has to do with lack of sunlight of something!) I don't know why, but it always gets me down. I guess everybody must get it to a certain degree, feeling a bit deflated after the Christmas rush or overweight-ed from the mass of mince pies, alcohol and out of routine. So in this month I'm trying to focus on new creative projects, taking photos and having a clear out to take my mind off the darkness. This prompted me to plan my first ever clothes swap party last night. I think it's the perfect time of year to have one as everyone's still skint from last year but we all want that new year, new wardrobe feel. I highly recommend doing one. I was such a good night, hanging out with friends, trying on clothes and drinking wine. It was like creating your own private clothes shop in your living room. The best bit for me was seeing everyone leaving with something they really liked and not having to spend a penny. We decided to give any left over clothes to charity, so everybody wins.
So if your feeling a bit low after the festive holidays why not organise a clothes swap party. Get some friends round, crack open a bottle of wine and get swapping.
