1 & 2. So firstly try and come up with some sort of colour scheme or at least colours that you think might go together and contrast well. Keep working on it until your happy, there is no set way to do this. You could do swirls, blobs, lines, whatever you fancy. (I even did a few splat over the top of mine for a finishing touch). 3. Once your happy with your design let it dry completly. Then cut of pieces of masking tape about 6-8cm long - they will need to all be the same size. I did a kind of chevron pattern but you can be a creative as you like. 4. Once you've covered the canvas and happy with your pattern, use the sponge and white acrylic to carefully paint in the gaps you've left. When you've filled in all the gaps and let it dry peel off the masking tape and you'll be left with your own homemade masterpiece!
