I love making this bread. I do love bread in general, especially when its freshly baked. I have to a admit I'm not overly keen with making bread from scratch as it can take ages and I find hard to get it right. So I use bread mixes from the supermarket and they are also really cheap and come in some great flavours. (I think I used a sun-dried tomato bread mix for this one). This bad boy id always a crowd pleaser when I bring it to a shared lunch or rock up with it to a BBQ. It's best served warm as thats when the butter is at its scrummiest (real word).First off you will need a packet of bread mix (flavoured or plain) and follow the instructions on the packet to make your bread dough.
Mix into a paste, then roughly roll your bread dough into a rectangle and thickly spread your butter paste all over it. At this point you could a few extras, such as olives, sun dried tomatos, ham or grated cheese. I've tried these in different variations and they are all very yummy.
Once your happy with your filling, roll up your dough from the longest edge to the longest edge (so it looked like a giant swiss roll).
